Grenada Athletes’ Commission
On June 17, 2023, the Grenada Athletes’ Commission was established. In May 2023, the Grenada Olympic Committee brought together a group of athletes to emphasize the importance of establishing a high-functioning Athletes’ Commission. This group worked diligently for a month and a half to establish an active commission. Today, we are a nine-member group consisting of both past and current national athletes.
The Commission serves as a bridge between sports disciplines and the Grenada Olympic Committee, offering feedback on issues affecting athletes, such as athlete welfare, athlete development, anti-doping policies, and other sports-related matters. TheLegacy473 has been created by Athletes for Athletes, an initiative spearheaded by the Grenada Athletes’ Commission with the aim of providing support to all athletes within the local community.
