Mission Statement

The mission of the Athletes’ Commission is to represent the interests and viewpoints of all athletes within its locality. 

Our Objectives

One of the objectives of the Athletes’ Commission is to support athletes’ development in their sporting and non-sporting careers. Our platform is designed to serve as an educational hub, nurturing athletes and fostering their holistic development, both in their sporting endeavors and in life beyond the field. In partnership with many stakeholders, we bring together accomplished professionals and experts through our webinars, delivering timely and insightful educational sessions and workshops focused on topics that directly contribute to athletes’ advancement.

 

STRATEGIC GOALS

Promote the awareness of the Athletes’ Commission - Educate all stakeholders (national federation and athletes) about the function and purpose of the Athletes’ Commission.
Promote Athlete Development - Promote the development of athletes in various ways, such as providing training and education opportunities in various ways, such as providing training and education opportunities, mentoring programs, and support for athletes transitioning to post-sports careers.
Market national athletes and promote athlete successes Increase public awareness by highlighting national Athletes’ and increase their visibility along with their achievements to encourage partnerships.
Empower Athletes’ Commission Involvement in the Olympic Movement - Maintain connection with regional and international Olympic organizations with matters relating to the Athletes’ Commission and the Olympic Movement.
Encouraging athlete participation - Encourage athlete participation in various events, programs, and initiatives, including community outreach programs and advocacy efforts.
Enhancing communication and collaboration - Enhance communication and collaboration among athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders within the organization. This includes fostering a culture of open dialogue, transparency, and trust.
Representing the interests of athletes - This includes advocating for athlete rights, improving athlete welfare, and ensuring that athletes have a say in decisions that affect them.
Educate

“A comprehensive resource center tailored to empower Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique athletes and their stakeholders, offering the means to ACQUIRE knowledge and hone their abilities, thereby enhancing their careers both within and beyond the realm of sports."
